at the Movies
The Rappahannock Association for the Arts and Community will present the film “Frost/Nixon” on Friday, May 1 at The Theatre on Gay Street in Washington. Show time is 8 p.m. and admission is $6.
The film stars Michael Sheen as David Frost and Richard Nixon is portrayed by Frank Langella who was nominated for Best Actor.
This film was nominated for Best Picture and director Ron Howard was nominated for Best Directing.

Kid Pan Alley to
perform May 1
Kid Pan Alley -> a national non-profit program which brings recording artists into schools to create music and is based in Rappahannock - will perform a free concert on May 1 at 7 p.m. at the Rappahannock County Elementary School.
Artists Nate Brown, Steve van Dam, Andy Waldeck, Paddy Dougherty, John D’earth, and Siobhan Quinn will perform along with Kid Pan Alley founder and Rappahannock resident Paul Reisler featuring songs written by children from Rappahannock elementary, Hearthstone, Belle Mead and Mountain Laurel schools.
This year was extra special as the students got some help from Rappahannock seniors who told stories about growing up in the area.
Kid Pan Alley has traveled across the country, performing and recording songs written by children and “inspiring kids to be creators and not consumers.”
