Meetings and Notices

• On Monday, May 4 the Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors will meet at a 2 p.m. session and again at 7 p.m. for a public hearing. Both meetings will be at the Rappahannock County courthouse on Gay Street. Topics on the agenda include: Update on Scrabble School: Economic Development Advisory Committee: Payment of taxes, fees via credit card and Public Safety Committee recommendations. The agenda for the 7 p.m. session includes VDOT's Six Year Secondary Road Improvement Plan and FY 2010 budget public hearing.

• On Thursday, May 7 the Rappahannock County Water and Sewer Authority will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County courthouse on Gay Street.

• The Town of Washington is seeking letters of interest from residents who wish to be considered for nomination to the Planning Commission. The Town Council will consider the appointment to the Planning Commission on May 13. Letters of interest will be accepted at Town Hall, 485 Gay St., Monday through Friday 9:30 a.m., to 2:30 p.m., or faxed to 540-675-1742, or mailed to P.O. Box 7, Washington, VA, 22747. All letters of interest must be received by close of business on Monday, May 11.
