"This event is extremely important in introducing young riders to the sport. Many of our seasoned jockeys started at very young ages."
A long-standing Virginia tradition, the Junior Field Master Chase is a series of races, held throughout the season at various point-to-points.
The series culminates with the championship at the Virginia Gold Cup.
