I am in strong disagreement with the newspapers numerous recent attempts to create antagonisms and false dualisms among so-called “classes” of people in this county. This does a disservice to the strong ties that are felt and expressed among the people of diverse talents, contributions, abilities, beliefs and histories. 1 count as many friends in this community, and even a broader range of people who I know of and respect, a very wide range of backgrounds, political beliefs, religions, family backgrounds, and so forth, and I feel that that rich web of relationships is threatened by false dualisms being pushed by the paper.
