Thomas V. Williams of Flint Hill was named the 1977 Rappahannock Conservationist and received recognition last Wednesday at a dinner meeting of the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District held at Graves Mountain Lodge at Syria.
“Thomas really deserves this award,” said Conservation District Director H. S. Barksdale. “Thomas has earned it. His farmland falls into three categories; steep, steeper and steepest, and had he not employed good conservation practices, he wouldn’t even have any land.”
