Virginia has built a strong honest central state government, but now refuses in an increasingly complex age to return more authority to town, city and county government. Mr. Howell is committed to progressive change on these issues. Mr. Dalton specifically is not.
What about worries that Henry Howell is going to tax, bankrupt and unionize Virginia, and bus its children somewhere else to school? In any other time with someone like Mr. Howell, these might be very real fears.
