Europe by sea and will focus on the cooperation among NATO forces in gaining and maintaining control of the Eastern Atlantic.
Following the exercise, the participating U.S. Atlantic Fleet ships will conduct a series of visits to Belgium, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Norway, Scotland and the Netherlands.
American forces participating in the exercise are under the overall command of Vice Admiral W. L. McDonald, USN, commander of the U.S. Second Fleet.

The Flint Hill Home Demonstration Club will be sponsoring a sale on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Flint Hill fire hall. Included will be a Christmas table, a bake sale, white elephants and clothing.
This sale will benefit the Northern Virginia 4-H Center to be constructed near Front Royal.
