“But gubernatorial candidates have indicated that they would not veto such a measure, if it is passed again,” Davies said.
The group also discussed problems with polling places in Rappahannock County, aid to volunteer fire departments, and the need for welfare reforms.
“The time has come,” Davies told the gathering “for you to be represented by someone who is going to take the time to listen to what your problems are and try to do something about them. If I am elected I intend to do just that.”
