Byron and Mary Schumaker’s corn crib on their farm near Flint Hill is not the average rural out* building. In the last stages of extensive remodeling, it will soon house displays of work by Paul Caponigro, Arnold Newman and other names familiar to photography enthusiasts.
Rappahannock’s first photographic gallery is Mary Schumaker’s labor of love. Going eighteen different ways at once, she has directed the transformation from corn crib to studio while supervising an eleven year old son, nine year old daughter, a new puppy, the family poodle and three cats.
