Break-Ins
At Amissville
Two Amissville business establishments, Early’s Carpet Service and Jenkins’ Garage were broken into and burglarized last week, between closing Monday evening and Tuesday morning’s opening, October 25.
At Early’s, money and vacuum cleaners, the more expensive models, according to Mrs. Early, were taken and a new four thousand dollar cash register was prized open and destroyed.
Money and tools were taken from Jenkins’ Garage where entry was gained through a side window.
Early’s building was entered by the front door which was forced open, apparently by a metal lever, which could also have been used on the cash register.
