The warden emphasized that State law requires that each hunter upon killing a bear, deer, or turkey must detach the appropriate tab from his bear-deer-turkey license and attach it to the kill before moving it from the place of kill, then immediately take the kill to an official checking station where the license tab will be exchanged for an official game tag.
The warden also advises that each hunter take time to make a complete review of the 1977-78 Summary of Virginia Game Laws. This digest can be obtained from most sporting goods stores, county clerks and license agents.
