The purpose of Trout Unlimited is to “enhance, preserve and protect cold water fisheries” with the primary goal of “managing the resource for the trout, not the fisherman.”
At the November meeting, Chris Powell of the Smithsonian Fish Department and Allen Hoover of the Virginia Trout Unlimited Capital chapter in Richmond will be guest speakers.
Also elected at the October organizational meeting were: Tom Addcox of Reston as secretary-treasurer. Elected as directors were: Jane Wagner, of Warrenton, for conservation; Harrison O’Connor, of Upperville, projects; Bruce Sheppard, of Madison, fisheries development; Douglas Lees, of Warrenton, projects and public relations; David Myers, of Madison, water quality surveillance; Henry F. Dunbar, of Warrenton, finance.
