There is an old truth, relearned most recently during a recent conservative administration in Washington, that “power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” Restoration of this healthy system of checks and balances is our best protection against that, and is the main reason for Henry Howell’s election next Tuesday.
I hope our marriage survives next Tuesday.
