The $125 million bond issues are good business for Virginia.
While the bond issues are swamped under the marching and filling of statewide election contests, there will be five questions for voters to answer simply “yes” or “no” on the ballot next Tuesday. Each question is a separate bond issue.
As approved by the 1977 General Assembly, the five bond issues break down into these categories: $86,475,000 for educational institutions, $21,525,000 for correctional institutions, $4,000,000 for mental health facilities, $5,000,000 for state park and recreational areas, and $8,000,000 for port facilities.
