Last week volunteer workers on the annual community project, Applebutter, made 124 gallons of applebutter, much of which has already beensold for the benefit of the Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department. Tuesday of this week apple peeling started again in the basement of the fire hall for another boil of applebutter. More workers are needed and will be welcomed as late as Friday or Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Cheney were in Winchester Tuesday on business.
Saturday morning Jack Beatty of Virginia Beach was a breakfast guest of the Edward Goransons and later visited his mother, Mrs. Laura Beatty in the home of his aunt, Mrs. Myrtle North, where he was Saturday overnight guest.
