In Memorlam

In memory of Joe B. Atkins who passed away one year ago, Nov. 8, 1976: Today brings memories of that sad mom. When we awoke, you were gone. Entering your room we prayed for grace To meet whatever we would face. You had slipped away in the dark of night To be with Jesus, who is the light. You, for ninety-six years, He did bless Then called you home to the land of rest. As your eyesight grew lighter. Your faith in Him grew much brighter. You are missed from your rocking chair. But we know you are much happier up there. We wouldn't want you back for a pot of gold— Heaven is a better place for young and old. Neither do we question the will of God For, with Him, you do trod. We know there's a warning you want to send back— Everyone, please get on the right track. Prepare to meet God.

Sadly missed by those who loved and cared for him, by his son and daughter-in-law, Alvin and Marie Atkins.
