DELEGATE-ELECT Republican George Beard barely squeezed to victory in the election Tuesday over opponent Democrat John “Butch” Davies. Though Beard did not carry but one of the four counties which make up the 25th District, this was enough to give him a 39 ballot win. The District is composed of Rappahannock, Culpeper, Madison and Orange counties. Beard, campaigning last week in Amissville, was photographed with Landern Luttrell.
