Supervisor Dick Latham asked if passage of a festival ordinance would affect firemen’s carnivals. “There are ramifications” that need to be considered before any such ordinance is adopted, agreed Col. Luke, adding that the primary intent would be to control field parties, rock festivals and other "primarily musical-type activities.”
Dead Rats
Aubry Keyser reported to the Board on the unsanitary conditions at the Woodville voting site. “There are dead rats laying around...the odor is very bad,” said Keyser. Further, he said that Sally Thornhill, election official for Woodville, had notified the Electoral Board that she would not serve at the Woodville site on Tuesday’s election unless something was done.
