Only 57.2 per cent of twoyear-old children in Virginia recently surveyed by the State Department of Health had completed the required basic series of immunizations against preventable communicable diseases.
Virginia State Law requires that each child complete the basic series of immunizations by the age of two years, including three or more doses ‘of DPT, (diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus) vaccine, three doses of oral polio vaccine and one dose each of measles and rubella vaccines.

On Thursday, Nov. 3, the Flint Hill Rescue Squad transported Mrs. Lucy Estes from Warren Memorial Hospital to her home in Washington. Ronnie Atkins was taken from an autoihobile accident near Sperryville to Winchester Memorial Hospital by the Sperryville Rescue Squad on Nov. 7. Amissville Rescue Squad responded Tuesday night, Nov. 8 to a traffic collision on Route 211 east and took Stanley Carpenter of Arlington to Fauquier Hospital. The Flint Hill squad took Earl Whorton, Sr. from the home of Addie Keyser to Culpeper Memorial Hospital Tuesday.
