Charles “Chuck” Robb carried Rappahannock along with the State. The local tally was 957 for Democrat Robb and 654 for Rpublican Joe Canada, Jr.
In the bid for Attorney General, J. Marshall Coleman was the victor in Virginia, but in Rappahannock he fell behind with 750 ballots as compared to Democrat Edward Lane’s 813.
Rappahannock supported all of the bond sections except the Ports Authority which received 662 no’s to 610 yes’. The bond issue passed in the state.
