“In fairness to H. B., he shouldn’t be responsible for the costs of cleaning up,” Luke responded.
Commonwealth Attorney George Davis agreed that it was the county’s obligation to clean up the location and “make it suitable to use as a voting place.
“You certainly have my permission to clean it up,” Wood replied.
Luke stated that it was the responsibility of the Electoral Board to find someone to clean up the site with the expense borne by the county. He added that next year, the Board would have to arrange a meeting and find a different voting place for the Woodville area. “This is not the first time that H. B. has brought this up,” said Luke.
The Chairman told the Board that the State Fire Marshall had inspected the courthouse last week and will write the Supervisors a letter,
