A major enlargement and reorganization of the Virginia Farm Bureau Service Corporation has been announced, as a means of increasing service to Farm Bureau members.
The Service Corporation was founded in 1965 as an affiliate of the Virginia Farm Bureau Federation, to provide tangible products and services to members. At that time, only tires and batteries and some general farm hardware was offered.
The Service Corporation now is divided into four major areas of responsibility.
Louis P. Chisholm, VFBF secretary, will head the products division, responsible for sales of tires, batteries and other general farm products.
The livestock and fowl division of the Service Corporation now will be under supervision of John N. Parker, who is director of commodity activities for the federation.
The farm management division now will come under supervision of A. Grant Moffett. *
Robert E. Waring will continue is manager of the grain division
