SUMMER READERS Douglas Kilpatrick and Suzanne and Dwight Parker drove down to Richmond with assistant librarian Pat Helmer for the Virginia Reading Festival where she accepted an award to the Rappahannock County Library for meeting the goal set for the children’s summer reading program. The kids heard folk singers, the cast from “Annie” perform selections from that hit musical and met Scooby-Doo, Yogi Bear and the governor’s wife, Linda Robb, and daughter Jennifer.
