The annual reunion for the relatives and friends of the late Luther E. and Ada F. Jenkins will be held at the picnic area of Graves Mountain Lodge, Syria on Sunday, August 28, from 10 until dark.
All those attending are asked to bring a picnic lunch, which will be served at 1 p.m.
Meeting And Picnic
The Rappahannock Fire and Rescue Association’s monthly meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, August 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the Sperryville Rescue Squad’s building. All members of the county’s fire and rescue companies are encouraged to attend.
The Association will be the host at a softball game and picnic on Saturday, August 20, beginning at 4 p.m. at the county park on Route 211.
Barbecued chicken and drinks will be provided. Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish to contribute to the feast.
The picnic is open to all members of the county’s Fire and Rescue Association. For more information, call Sherry Hamill at 675-3848.
RAAC Street Dance
By popular request, the Rappahannock Association for the Arts and the Community is sponsoring a street dance on Friday night, September 2, on Gay Street in Washington.
Proceeds from the dance will benefit RAAC projects.
