Granville S. Hartsook, Jr., 78, of Culpeper, died Tuesday, August 16,1983, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
He was bom September 4, 1904, in Rapidan. He was the son of the late Granville S. and Mary Ann Strong Hartsook. He was retired from a plumbing business in Front Royal. He was a member of the Fairfax Masonic Lodge No. 43 of Culpeper, and the Orange Masonic Lodge No. 138. He was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church at Rapidan.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Gehringer of Flint Hill and her mother, Mrs. Arlene Gilmore Hartsook of Front Royal; three grandchildren, and three nephews.
A graveside service will be held Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at Emmanuel Episcopal Church Cemetery at Rapidan, with Masonic rites. The Rev. Maurice Hopson will officiate.
Preddy Funeral Home in Orange was in charge of arrangements.
