Renewing Love Seminar
A Renewing Love Seminar will begin Wednesday, August 31, at Creations Christian Bookstore in Washington.
“More than just words, lectures and social awareness, the Renewing Love course has brought self-confidence and a sound self-image to thousands of women,” says organizer Becky Burke. “Women come to develop love-centered, God-centered problem solving relationships.”

Bluegrass Contest
The first in a series of bluegrass band contests will be Saturday, August 27, at 2:00 p.m., Apple Blossom Mall, Winchester.
Area bands will perform both traditional and original music and the winning band in each contest will have their performance tape aired on radio station Q102.
The bands are competing for a spot on stage in the Apple Harvest Music Festival Finals Contest, September 16. The winner of this contest receives a $300 contract to perform the following day on the program with Doc Watson, Norman and Nancy Blake. The Country Gentlemen, and Patent Pending.
