Dog Fun Match

The Culpeper Kennel Club will sponsor an AllBreed and Obedience Fun Match at the Culpeper Agricultural Enterprise grounds in Culpeper on Sunday, August 28.

Entries of dogs will be accepted from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. with judging scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. While only registered dogs are allowed in conformation judging, mixed breeds will be welcome in obedience. 4

A tattoo clinic will be held in coi\junction with the match. Charge is $6 per animal for this best accepted method of permanently identifying pets.

Admission to the match is free to the public. A fee of $3 per class will be charged for dogs competing in the match.

SPECTRA Special

Spectra school in Flint Hill is offering a special introductory course weekend August 19-21. Included will be: architectural design and construction (Donald Chandler AIA, architect); communication (Dr. Carolyn Ebel, Georgetown University); sculpture and computer art (Vic Pickett, chairman of the art department at Old Dominion University).

Participants as a group will design and carry out a project of their choice. The course is open to ages 13 and older. Cost of the weekend, which begins 5 p.m. on Friday annd concludes 3 p.m. on Sunday, is $100 with the special rate of $75 for Rappahannock County citizens and RAAC members.
