heat wave, which folks will talk about for years to come, cool breezes and lower temperatures are finally here.

Calling on J. Stant Weaver last Tuesday were Freddie Butler, Paul Butler, Jr. and Jason, all of Boston. Mr. and Mrs. Nick Peneranda of Griffinsburg spent Sunday with Mr. Weaver.

Mrs. John Metzger of Lorton was a Sunday guest of her mother, Mrs. Charles C. Burke. Mrs. Georgia Vaughan of Fredericksburg spent from Sunday until Wednesday here with her sister, Mrs. Burke.

Mrs. I. E. Forward will return home this weekend after spending the summer months with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. I. E. Forward, Jr. at Three Rivers, Michigan.

Mr. and Mrs. Joel Daczewitz, Philip and Derek of Woodville were dinner guests last Tuesday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Weakley at The Comer Post Restaurant in Flint Hill in celebration of the Weakleys’ 43rd anniversary.

Ralph Pullen and Pearl of Culpeper accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. John Clark, Jr., Stacey and Amanda returned home on Sunday after spending a week touring Nashville, the Smokey Mountains and Cherokee.
