tary Evelyn Olsen says the bill is pending before the trade subcommittee of the House ways and means committee. The subcommittee, chaired by Florida Democrat Sam Gibbons, has taken no action on the bill, according to Olsen. However, she says correspondence from Virginia’s two senators makes her believe they will co-sponsor similar legislation on the Senate side.
