Tuesday of this week was the deadline for the introduction of bills and in spite of all words of caution, a large number of bills and resolutions has been introduced. The workload looks to be about equal to 1982*8 but the subjects are more complex and require more committee and sub-committee time.
I restricted my introduction to seven bills and three joint resolutions. One of these bills covers the same subject matter as one of another member. He has allowed me to combine my bill with his. Acts such as this can cut down on the workload without hurting the end result. Hopefully, other members will look for increased efficiencies also.
