Now Thoms was collecting responses from his kids who wanted to take part in the computer dating service. At 50c a shot and with the capability of even finding a date for “Olga the almighty weight-lifter,” it wasn’t a bad bargain. Besides, it was important to analyze the reasons why a person would rather date a gorilla than a bear.
Thoms’ remarks were typical of the good humor evident everywhere in the school. The actual questionnaire for the dating service includes 33 serious and thought-provoking questions. Would you rather have money, fame, health or happiness? If you have a problem with your parents, would you discuss it with your girl/boy-friend, keep it to yourself or talk to a counselor? How do you feel about pre-marital sex? Religion? World issues? Cheating on an exam?
These are -all typical of topics that teens at George Mason feel comfortable discussing with their teachers.

It’s easier to talk in smaller classes. An English as a second language class contained just six foreign bom students in « tiding lab with two instructors. Each child was receiving individualized attention.
A music class was being held with one singer and a teacher/pianist.
