When ‘Teen Exchange” comes on the air at 10 a.m. Sunday, quite a few folks will be sitting in front of their televisions in rapt attention and not because the show has suddenly got a bigger share of the ratings than “Dallas” but simply because the Donalds’ lovely granddaughter will be one of the co-panelists.
She’s Kathy Karroll, a high school senior from Colesville, Maryland — picked from a field of more than 200 to appear, Doris says proudly, adding that Kathy is pretty, talented and delightful company, as well as an excellent singer, dancer and acress.
We suggested that Doris might be the slightest bit prejudiced.
“Don’t you think I’m entitled to be?” she quickly queried.
Anyway, Frank and Doris will be in D.C. at the NBC Building when “Teen Exchange" rolls over Channel 4. Tune in then and see their granddaughter.
Ruby Cannon says her granddaughter Bethany and grandson David are spending a week in Castleton while their parents, Peter and Ann Powell of Lancaster, New Hampshire are in D.C. on business.
Granddaughters Karen and Kim Colvin from Rapidan and Shannon Tharpe from Culpeper spent Saturday night with Waverly and Lillian Frazier. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Mark Tharpe and Tonya and Ellen Wharton from Culpeper also came to Castleton and all of the granddaughters went to church with Lillian and Waverly.
By the way, a special thanks to Charles and Judy Pullen and all their passengers for pushing Aunt Michele out of a ditch and changing her flat tire and getting her to that same church last week. They’re among the best examples of
