Rappahannock’s Panthers downed the first place team in the district, the Generals from Stonewall Jackson, last Tuesday night in an incredible display of shooting accuracy. The Panthers caught fire and shot fire as they connected on 18 of 25 free throw attempts (72 percent) and 24 of 39 tries from the field (61 percent).
But even more impressive than that the team statistics were the performances of three individual players: Clarence Pendleton, Jeff Porter and Tom Sisk. Pendleton led the shooting barrage with 22 points, eight of ten from the field and a perfect six for six from the foul line.
