This too can only help to improve the educational programs here.
In announcing his nomination, Lane pointed to strong bipartisan support behind Oliver’s appointment. That may qualify as the most understated description in the history of county politics. News of Oliver’s appointment had activist members of the Rappahannock County Education Association smiling broadly. The news also sparked a ringing endorsement from former School Board member Robert Eastham. That’s more than strong bipartisan support; that ranks as an almost miracle.
If ever those two usually opposing sides can agree, then Bill Oliver’s appointment bodes well for the future of education in Rappahannock County. Again, we say congratulations on a good decision, Supervisor Lane.
