Rappahannock’s girls’ volleyball team continued to be plagued by bad breaks as they lost their closest match of the season last Thursday against Stonewall Jackson.
Rapp won the first set by an impressive 15-3 margin. Julie Burke got the Panthers rolling as she netted five points. By the time rotation had returned her to the serving position, the home squad had a comfortable 113 lead. Two prolonged volleys upped that to 13-3. Burke served again. The ball was returned but Anne Tupper spiked it to put the Panthers on game point, 14
