February 7
During criminal division court hearings Judge Alexander dismissed charges against Irvin Jenkins and Ivan Deal in a December 17 incident. Deal had accused Jenkins of threatening him with bodily harm, but when neither party showed up in court on their January 31 appointed day, the judge issued a show cause against both the accuser and the accused. Upon recommendation from Commonwealth’s Attorney Peter Luke, the case was dismissed the next week.
