ing to attend school for even part of their half-day makeup was an ill omen. The two teams travelled to military school powerhouse Fork Union for a look at an established athletic program. Although both the JV and varsity Owls were outmanned in every respect,
they never gave up and, most importantly, enjoyed themselves thoroughly. The home teams from Fork Union controlled each contest from the tip-off yet remained levelheaded and polite to their outclassed guests throughout the aftemoon.The Owls gained valuable experience against the best teams they have played to date this season and headed home with full stomachs after a generous post-game meal provided by their hosts. Jordan Bentley and Brian Dotzler led the J V effort while Russell Rowzie and Paul Lackman paced th( varsity.
This week the JV team travels to Dyke, Virginia, to play Blue Ridge School on Thursday and both teams head to Manassas to do bat tie with Seton on Friday. The latter games will be followed by a traditional post game meal at the Chesapeake Seafood House.
