Fred Greene, Sr.

Fred Atwell Greene, Sr., 82, of Culpeper, died Tuesday, February 7, 1984, at Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Greene was retired from the Virginia Department of Highways. He was a member of the Slate Mills Baptist Church and a member of Odd Fellows Phoenix Lodge. He was a native of Grafton, West Virginia and the son of the late George and Ella Grant Greene. His wife was the late Margaret Norris Greene.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Mitchell of Springfield; a son, Fred A. Greene, Jr. of Boca Raton, Florida; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. L. F. Spicer of Winchester.
Graveside services were conducted on Friday at Fairview Cemetery by the Rev. Harold Eaton.
Clore Funeral Home in Culpeper was in charge of arrangements.
