Verlie Atkins Born In Rappahannock Mrs. Verlie Frye Atkins, 91, of Front Royal, died Friday, February 10, 1984, at the Lynn Ckre Center in Front Royal. Graveside services were conducted on Monday at the Sperryville Cemetery. Mrs. Atkins was born August 20, 1892, in Rappahannock County, a daughter of the late James and Emma Pullen Frye. She was the wife of the late O'Ferrell Atkins and was a member of the Front Royal United Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Verlie Showers of Front Royal; three sisters, Maggie Atkins of Washington, Phoebe Frazier and Arrie Tharpe, both of Maryland; tour grandchildren and a great grandchild. Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal was in charge of the arrangements.
