• Parent-Teacher Conferences Today
, Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled today at Rappahannock Elementary and Rappahannock High. At the high school, conferences will run from 1:30 to 5 p.m., and from 6 to 8 p.m. Parents may pick up report cards at the conferences, according to a high school press release. Teachers will not be available during the supper hour at either school, from5to6p.m.
In other school news, the RCHS Boosters are scheduled to meet between the J.V. and varsity basketball games on Monday, October 15. The meeting will take place in Room 1, with an approximate 7:15 start time. Persons attending just the meeting will not be charged admission to the game. For those who cannot attend evening meetings, a 10 a.m. Booster Club meeting also is scheduled the same day, to take place in the Mgh school office.
• County Library Series Concludes
The Rappahannock County Library completed its lecture/discussion aeries Monday evening with a study of A Mother and Two Daughter*, by Gail Godwin. Guest speaker for the evening was Professor Sybille Jobin of Mary Baldwin College.
The series, which was funded in part by a grant from the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities and Public Policy, averaged between 86 and 40 participates each session.
