Dulles Gels ‘New’ Name
A “new” name for Dulles International Airport was approved by Congress last week and now lacks only the signature of President Reagan.
But that’s expected to come shortly.
As a result of legislation introduced by Sen. Paul Trible (R-Va.) and Rep. Frank Wolf (R-Va./10th) the official name of the airfield has been changed to Washington Dulles International Airport.
It’s hoped that the one-word addition will alleviate confusion for passengers and provide a stronger sense of identity for the facility.
