The overwhelming depth and breadth of the problem of hunger can be immobilizing—what can an individual do? One of the primary purposes of an event like World Hunger Weekend is “to send out ripples—to awaken in people their innate compassion for the committment to humanity, to support and accelerate the work of ending hunger by eliciting committed action and generous financial contribution, and to generate and expand the vision of a world without hunger.”
Calendar Art
An exhibit of the original works included in the 1966 Rappahannock Artists Calendar will open at Mountain Railway Gallery, next to Middle Street Gallery, on October 20 from 1 to 6 p.m.
