Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts offer examples where volunteerism is at the heart of the organization. 4-H clubs around Rappahannock need more participation by adult volunteers. The schools, public and private, always are open to participation by adults-be them boosters or someone willing to take their expertise into the classroom.

Adults should ask themselves: “What expertise do I have to offer? What interests me the most?” Chances are some group in the county needs your help-to talk about cooking or farming or quilting or running or building or singing or sewing.
