Military pilots using VR-1754,' an established low level tactical training route that crosses Rappahannock in its southwest quadrant, get to see a lot of Virginia close up during the course of their mission.

The scheduling and originating agency administering VR-1754 is COMMATWING One, at NAS Oceana, Virginia Beach, in cooperation with the Federal Aviation Agency. Military units, including Air Guard, work with Oceana in to reserve time on the route.
