“What they factored in was that the bills would be received approximately the first of the month, and they would be paid at the end of the month,” said Jamieson. The bills would then be sent to Cilimberg to go through the process for government repayment. “Therefore, they figure that the payment on the bill would be submitted to the government somewhere after the 30-day period had expired,” Jamieson said.
There would then be two months between receipt of the bill and payment. “A two month lag is going to be too long because the bills are supposed to be paid within 10 days according to the contract,” said Hank Gernhart of the engineering firm of Buchart-Hom from Williamsburg.
