Mrs. r ranees Tabler was the honoree at a birthday dinner on Monday evening, October 29, at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Marcey and family in Falls Church. There were 19 family members present. On Tuesday she was a luncheon guest of her sister, Mrs. Lynn Stuckey and some of her friends.

Mrs. Frances Thornton and Jack Brown with Mrs. Julian L. Brown and Mrs. Robert Hudson of Culpeper were among the guests at a birthday luncheon on Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thompson at Fork Union in honor of Mrs. Francis Churchill Jones of Richmond. Mrs. Anne Colby of Purcellville was a weekend guest of Mrs. Jack Brown.

Recent weekend guests of Mrs. Harald Havstad and son, Peter were Sarah Vartarian and Henry Pope of Washington, D.C.

Mr. and Mrs. John Coates of Brightwood and Brainard Chariton of Madison were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Nethers.

Mrs. Lee Swindler and Mrs. Roy Swindler were Saturday overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fielding Lewis in Front Royal.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred W. Schaefer returned home last Thursday after spending a week at Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Mrs. Tom Klatko attended the United Methodist district conference held in Charlottesville Saturday.

Mrs. Robert W. Brown and Mrs. B.M. Varner spent last Friday in Winchester.
