Open House Nov, 18
Dowtown Culpeper will celebrate its annual Christmas Open House pp Sunday, Nov. 18 from noon to 5 p.m.
The unusual Sunday opening will feature at least 40 merchants sporting their holiday finest for a day of relaxing and browsing. Homemade refreshments will be in abundance as will the products of the two local bakeries.
Stores participating in the popular event stock everything from hardware to flowers to jewelry to clothing to appliances. And while sales are usually brisk, most merchants regard the day as simply a chance to meet and chat with customers before the rush of the Christmas season.
To compliment the festive occasion, there will be music on the courthouse square and at several stores around town. Free parking on street and in public lots will be plentiful.
