Congratulations to Waverly and Lillian Frazier who were married in Culpeper 37 years ago last Tuesday, November 6. They celebrated their anniversary with Reagan and Mondale. Tonight, they will celebrate again in Rapidan with their daughter, Gail and her husband, Granville Colvin as they dine on Gail’s fine cooking. They might even celebrate one more time this weekend. Thirty-seven years of marriage is certainly worth honoring over and over.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Fridenstine just returned from their vacation in the “Peach State” where they spent an enjoyable week in Washington, Georgia, visiting their “long time” friends, Mr. and Mrs. Gilmer Hoge. The weather was warm and clear and the landscape was green with gently rolling hills. Washington (yes another one) is located in the eastern Piedmont region of Georgia and is one of the few, old towns that was spared during the burning and destruction of the Civil War. t - In tact, this is the town where the pres* ident of the Confederacy, Jefferson Davis, fled at the close of the war. There’s so many, lovely, old colonial homes still standing that Mrs. Fridenstine calls this place a “paradise”. They had a warm and wonderful time with their dear friends.
