Forest Grove Harvest Supper

The annual Harvest Supper will be held at the old Forest Grove School House on Saturday, November 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. The menu will consist of old Virginia ham and turkey with all the trimmings. Adults and all carry-out boxes will be $6 if tickets are purchased before November 17. At the door tickets will be $6.50 for adults and children under 12 will be $3. All proceeds will benefit the Forest Grove Baptist Church and the public is urged to support this event.

Used Book Sale

Friends of the Culpeper Library will sponsor a used book sale to benefit the library on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The used book sale will take place at Jefferson Savings and Loan, in the Community Room. For more information, call 547-2802.

Jaycee Meeting

Auxiliary Schedule Dance

The Amissville Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor a dance at the Amissville Fire Hall on November 24, 9 to 1 a.m. Music by Roger Donald and Ramblin Fever. $10 couple. Call 937-5269 for reservations.

DAR Chapter Meeting Announced

Dr. Edgar J. Puryear of Madison will be guest speaker Tuesday, November 13 at 2 p.m. when the Culpeper Minute Men Chapter NSDAR members assemble at the Culpeper United Methodist Church.

Dr. Puryear’s talk has a National Defense topic, “Honor in Service to the Nation.” Hostesses for this occasion are Mrs. Vincent P. Beasley, Mrs. Claude Guinn and Mrs. Beidler Settle.
