The commissioner of revenue will be able to use the computer cost-free for one year, at which time the county will have the option to return or purchase the unit.

•Courthouse renovation. The board still is awaiting estimates on the cost of renovating the courthouse. Renovation tentatively is scheduled for this winter and could take up to three months to complete.

The board discussed relocation of court sessions during renovation. The supervisors hope to draft a lease agreement with the Rappahannock Association for Arts and the Community (RAAC) that would allow temporary use of the Gay Street Theatre.

Judges have been contacted and believe the location would be suitable; the commonwealth’s attorney will contact RAAC with the hope of reaching a lease agreement.

•$1879 returned. John Einarson of the Dental Clinic located behind the elementary school returned to the county $1,879 in funds not used during fiscal ’84. Einarson said the program, which is almost two years okl, is doing well and that the federal and state agencies overseeing clinic operations are “very pleased.”
